les amis du FROMAGE is an independently owned specialty cheese shop with two locations in Vancouver. We feature a selection of cut-to-order cheese, charcuterie, artisan grocery items and house-made prepared meals. We are committed to showcasing the products and makers we love and passing that passion on to our customers.
You must be motivated and able to multi-task and do a variety of roles. From cutting and wrapping cheese, answering the phone, preparing wholesale orders, keeping the place clean and tidy, to assisting with receiving deliveries or giving a hand to the kitchen crew, there is a lot happening every day. Most importantly, you must be capable and enjoy interacting with customers as our cheese counter and customer service are the most important aspect of our shop. les amis du FROMAGE strives to make people happy and to offer a friendly and professional experience to every customer that comes through our doors. We are looking for individuals that would like to grow with us at les amis du FROMAGE as we keep expanding our business. Cheese knowledge takes time. We need a commitment of 5 days a week, otherwise it can take a long time to get you fully trained. Weekend hours are necessary to grow within this position in the company.
About You
- Courteous, organized and detail focused
- A desire to to give excellent customer service
- Ability to self start, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision
- Good physical shape. Able to lift 25 kg

- Starting wage of $18 p/h, wage increases at 3 & 12 months.
